“The East African Workshop on Youth-led Sustainable Agriculture for Urban Food Systems”

Transforming Food and Agriculture in Africa to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

The workshop hosted 40 youth agricultural stakeholders from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, DRC and Rwanda – aiming at enabling the participants learn and collaborate to tackle regional food and environmental issues.

The objective of the training is to strengthen capacities of youth farmers in sustainable agriculture, enhance rural and urban linkages and contribute to urban food systems. The workshop will also focus on capacity building and peer-to-peer knowledge exchange among and by young farmers of the region.
