Nandi Farmers Field Day (2nd Edition)

The Kenarava Group Ltd collaborated with one of Israel’s largest farming companies, GreenArava Ltd., & the youth-led iAgribizAfrica to convene a farmers’ event that was focused on “Agricultural Innovation for Improved Productivity” This event targeted to building capacity among smallholder farmers in rural Kenya, and showcase climate-smart innovations to target agricultural producers at the grassroots.

It  successfully convened a large gathering of smallholder farmers with a genuine hunger to learn “innovation for increased production”. It was agreed that agri-innovation continues to provide the ultimate frontier for tackling food insecurity, unemployment and poverty.

Agricultural innovation for improved productivity.

Some of the Innovations Showcased included:

MycoApply EndoPrime

MycoApply is a constructive fungi that develops a symbiotic relationship with the roots of the host crop and the soil, providing water and nutrients to the crop. It maximizes plat health and vigor.

Greenhouse Farming

The question “How profitable is Greenhouse Farming?” was among the questions addressed during the Field Day.

The farmers were trained on how greenhouse farming:

  1. Gives plants optimum growing environment hence increasing yield
  2. Shields plants from problems like strong wind and seasonal pests
  3. Enables farmers practice all season farming hence increasing their productivity and income.


The Nandi Farmers Field Day was a  one-stop shop for professional advice concerning how best you can profit from agricultural activities.

The 103 Farmers who attended had a chance to connect with agricultural experts from Israel and local service providers. This enables us at Kenarava Group Limited to strengthen local networks between the farmers and the service providers that would help build the agricultural ecosystem in Nandi.

The farmers also were trained on recent innovations,  techniques and technologies that are tailor-made to suit their budget.
