Executive Coaching for African Leaders in the Public Sector and Food Industry

Our Chairman, Mr. Ronald Diang’a, participated in a 4-day executive coaching for African leaders, forming part of the Kenyan private sector delegation to “shape the future of global agri-food sector”. The event focused on the importance of private sector engagement in developing sustainable food systems, reflecting Food Wise 2025 on the African context

Co – hosted by the government of Rwanda, The African Union Commission and FAO, this high – level executive training was designed in consultation with the Financial Times listed Business School, the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, Dublin, Ireland and Ms Mary Shelman, former Director of the Harvard Business School of Agribusiness Program.

The coaching incorporated a ‘live’ case example on the processes and pillars that underpin a succesful and sustainable agri-food sector. High-ranking officials from a range if public, semi-state and industry leaders from the Republic of Ireland shared their thoughts and isights through out the workshop on the critical success factors that transformed the county’s Agri-food sector from that of a fragmented, low value commodity-based economy, into one of rapid growth which places sustainability and family faming at its core.
